This April, and every April, REALTORS® come together to recognize Fair Housing Month, commemorating the passage of the Fair Housing Act of 1968.

The Fair Housing Act was a groundbreaking piece of legislation that continues to be crucial today. Its purpose, as vital now as it was fifty-seven years ago, is to uphold the fundamental principle that no one in the United States should be denied housing based on who they are.

Fair Housing Month serves as an opportunity to reflect on the progress we've made and, more importantly, to renew our commitment to expanding homeownership opportunities and fostering inclusive, diverse communities. It’s a time to recommit ourselves to the values of equality, fairness, and opportunity for all.
